Follow Up Care

What kind of follow-up is available?
We advise every ITT patient to arrange follow-up care with a therapist in their home area. We consult with your therapist before and after the ITT program and make suggestions about continued treatment. Some people require a “tune-up” visit to ITT months or years after the initial treatment.

We teach a specific art therapy method for processing the traumas; patients can use this method by themselves or with their regular therapist. In addition, you will learn a method for dealing with the traumatized selves and trauma-related voices  so that they will not control your life.

With each week of our IITT the fee includes one hour long or two 30 minute telephone follow-up consultations with one of our team leaders. A client and/or their hometown therapist can utilize this telephone consultation time as you see fit. Please email or call our business office to make arrangements for this call to take place.

If more extensive or frequent consultation is necessary following an IITT then you can make arrangements with us for additional telephone or on-site consultation at the following rates:

Follow-Up Consultation Rates
Telephone (private or conference calls)
Cost
1 hour
$100
45 minutes
$75
30 minutes
$50
15 minutes
$25

We do not accept third party payment for this follow-up consultation service so you can anticipate an invoice to be mailed to you following the telephone contact.

The same rates would apply to any therapist seeking general consultation by one of our experienced Trauma Therapists. Although, if the call is not case specific to a patient ITT has treated then the 2 initial telephone calls to be included in the cost of an IITT is not applicable.

Does ITT track their patient’s results?
As part of our outcome study we repeat our initial testing at one week, three months, and six months post-treatment. We look for a substantial reduction in intrusive, avoidant, and arousal symptoms.
Following the completion of the six months post-treatment assessments, ITT informs clients of their results.

In addition to follow-up assessments, ITT connects with each client approximately one month following treatment to get a verbal update on the client’s progress.   But email, letter or telephone contact is always welcome if the client has a desire to touch base.
